Tamar Braxton's Mom Says She Wants Vincent Herbert to 'Keep His Hands Off' Her Daughter
There's a new clue to why Tamar Braxton and Vincent Herbert's marriage is ending, and it's shocking.
In an interview with TMZ, the singer's mother, Evelyn Braxton, says she fears Herbert might fatally harm her daughter.
"I don't really have anything to say to Vin. Only one thing is keep your hands off my child," the elder Braxton said. "Stop before he hurts her or kills her. I love Vin but I don't want him to kill my child, as simple as that. Stop."
Braxton announced in September—before releasing her latest studio album, The Bluebird of Happiness—that she'd be retiring from music in order to save her marriage. But in October, just one month shy of their ninth wedding anniversary, she filed for divorce from Herbert. The details of their shocking split will be aired on their WEtv reality series, Tamar and Vince.
Braxton and Herbert wed in November of 2008 and welcomed their son Logan in June 2013.
Should the couple reconcile? Mrs. Braxton had one piece of advice to offer Herbert: get some therapy.
"I think if a person really means what they're doing, then they'll go and get help. They'll get counseling, right? I think he needs to go and get counseling, I really and truly do, before someone gets killed."
